Rim is a challenging trek deep into the Cape Fold Mountains. Both on-trail and off-trail it is both remote and secure, one is guided by highly experienced guides from the remarkable Rim of Africa guiding community. It is walked only once a year. Each season I walk one or two traverses and they are my soul food and soul time; a botanical and landscape wonderland. RoA is a unique, safe journey of discovery.

I have done 5 of the sections of rim and surprised myself when asked why I enjoyed it. I realized it's the friends I've made. Obviously I love the hiking and opportunity to explore but I have made such wonderful lasting friendships on each traverse. A real chance to escape the daily grind and connect with both people and nature. Couldn't recommend it more.
